The Adirondack Trailhead started in March of 2008 when I discovered the very cool OneNews Theme for Wordpress. This site will attempt to aggregate things related to the Adirondacks, and some other stuff too.
In case you haven’t heard, there’s a site called PopUrls. They are awesome, they just don’t cover the Adirondacks like I can. In some ways, this site is a tribute to the King of all Aggregators.
For geeks, everything is driven by RSS except the Flickr images. The FlickrRSS plugin grabs the relevant feed nicely. Feeds are then pulled using PHP in the content area. PHP code is enabled with the ExecPHP plugin. I DJ the links using del.icio.us - each tag has its own feed. I suppose I could also use the linkroll feature, but using RSS is about 100x better for SEO.
